What changes the price?
1. Shared seat or private vehicle
Shared tours charge each guest. Private tours charge for the 4×4, usually up to six guests. For a larger family, dividing a private-car rate by the group size can produce a lower per-person cost while adding privacy and flexibility.
2. Al Awir or Lahbab red dunes
Closer desert routes can be less expensive. Lahbab is farther from central Dubai and is known for taller red-orange dunes, so the transfer and dune package usually command a premium.
3. Morning activity or evening camp
Morning safaris focus on driving, sandboarding and a camel stop. Evening safaris continue into sunset, a BBQ buffet and live entertainment, increasing duration and operational cost.
4. Quad bike, buggy and seating upgrades
A regular safari usually does not include a motorised self-drive activity. Always check bike duration, engine class, passenger capacity and riding area. VIP seating may mean table service rather than a private camp.

How much should different travellers budget?

What should be included in the quoted rate?
A clear quote should name the pickup area, shared or private transport, dune activity, camp access, food, drinks, shows and return transfer. It should also state the price basis and anything charged separately.
